Finding Hope and Strength in Your Recovery Journey

KACRO

About

ABOUT KACRO

KACRO, which stands for the Kansas Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations, is a coalition based out of Kansas City. The KACRO coalition works to provide support to Kansas high schools and post-secondary schools working to develop recovery programs for students.

Through grant funding, the coalition will provide financial assistance to Kansas schools to help them develop, implement, and sustain recovery programs.

While it is unknown how many students across Kansas are in recovery, there are roughly 250,000 college students in the United States who have ever received treatment for alcohol or other drug use (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Data Archive, 2014). Knowing this, having accessible recovery programs available for students is imperative.

Special thank you to the Missouri Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations (MACRO) for their support, assistance, and guidance as Rediscovering You worked to launch the KACRO coalition here in Kansas.
